Built for producers who sample

From the record
to your track.

Detect

Key, BPM and Camelot from any audio — each with a confidence score. Drop a file, record an input, or read it live.

Monitor live

Hit Start Live and key + tempo update continuously as audio plays. Capture system audio straight from your Mac — no cables.

Find the fit

Perfect / Workable / Avoid ratings surface the samples in your own library that sit right with your current key and BPM.

Your crate

A turntable-style browser of your scanned folders, with instant 10-second previews and reveal-in-Finder.

Features

The data the crate
never came with.

Drop it into your session. It listens. You keep digging.

Key & BPM detection

Identifies the musical key using the Albrecht-Shanahan tonal-profile method, with a genre-aware tempo prior tuned for slow soul, funk and jazz. Every result carries a confidence readout, shown in standard notation and Camelot code.

Live monitoring

Start Live detects key and tempo continuously from any input as audio plays. On Mac, capture system audio directly — analyse a track from your browser or DAW with no routing cables.

Record, drop & analyse

Capture from any input, or drag-and-drop an audio file to analyse it. Play it back on a scrubbable waveform, tap tempo by hand, and review the key/BPM of every session.

Harmonic compatibility

Camelot-wheel mapping plus Perfect / Workable / Avoid ratings tell you instantly whether two samples fit. A harmonic map lays out your library by key relationship.

Private sample library

Scan multiple folders into a private, encrypted library. Files are hash-keyed so metadata survives renaming or moving — and your files are never renamed or tagged. Search by key, BPM or name.

MIDI, export & search

Transcribe the detected notes of a sample to a MIDI file, and export your audio as WAV or MIDI. One click searches the current key/BPM out to streaming and sample-credit sources for more material.

What producers say

Early feedback.

This is absolutely amazing. I know so many people would definitely be interested in this once it's live. Really impressive work — I appreciate you building this and letting me try it.

Honestly, this is one of the better key finders I've seen. It's usually within a note or two. The sampler is great, everything checks out. I can see a lot of people enjoying this.
